Fat Clothing Swap

Other info from the ad image is as follows:

Please don’t bring hangers; clothing will be laid out on tables.

Please bring clean items in good condition.

No contribution is required in order to take clothing!

Left over items will be donated and/or distributed in the community.

We welcome LGBTQIA+ folks, non-queer folks, and BIPOC.

Frustrated with the lack of affordable plus size, Big&Tall, and non-gendered clothing for fat folks in general? Clothing swaps are popular in the LGBTQIA+ community in Tucson, but there's a lack of size diversity in the clothing items at those events. Many large cities in the US have fat clothing swaps, now it's Tucson's turn!

This event welcomes all who wear non-straight-sized clothing (or are browsing for a friend), we're not going to put a specific lower limit on size, because policing folks' identities is not cool.

Event is Tuesday, June 18, 2024, from 7-9 PM. It will be taking place in the venue room at Groundworks, at 2919 East Grant Road, on the northwest corner of Grant and Country Club. There is a large parking lot with accessible spaces for the strip mall that typically has space, and the bus routes that go to this corner are #9 and #17.

Please reach out to Leigh with any questions, @lbrygk on Instagram (L as in library geek) or contact Groundworks to ask for Leigh's phone number or email.
