We did it, Campers!

This year’s Camp Groundworks was even bigger and more ambitious than last year’s. We had over 300 unique visitors on the live stream, 100+ people in attendance in-person, 50+ band members, 20+ volunteers, and over a dozen artists participate in this event to ensure its success. And it paid off: we raised $10,037 for Groundworks in one weekend and we couldn't be happier! Thanks for helping us reach our goal.

Groundworks first opened and operated in the midst of the pandemic, and quickly had to adapt to provide remote programming. Three years later, we’re proud to finally be able to fulfill the original intention of the space with incredible community music events like Camp Groundworks.

A special thanks is owed to our sponsors for this event:  Bookman’s, Eegee’s, Tanline Printing, Buffalo Exchange, Velvet & Shadow, Fangamer. The donations provided by these sponsors were huge in helping us reach our fundraising goal of $10,000. And of course, the event would never have been possible without the artists, performers, and volunteers who were at the event or planning it behind the scenes. They put in countless hours to make sure everything went smoothly, and we couldn’t be more grateful to them.

So what’s next? The $10,000 we raised will provide the foundation for the next year of Groundworks programming. In addition to utilities like rent and supplies, it will go towards planning new and exciting events to expand Groundworks’ reach even farther. Our Creative Youth Alliance team is doing a great job of planning these events already. You can keep updated on everything Groundworks does next by following our social media and signing up to our newsletter. If you want to help be a part of it, you can also sign up to volunteer here.

Most of all, we want to thank everyone who watched the telethon, attended the live shows, and donated to help make Camp Groundworks a success. Events like this can only happen with moving support from the Tucson community.

Thank you for camping with us.
